One of the coolest – and exclusive – places to eat in the Rhondda is Colliery 19.

You won’t find it on a high street or under bright town centre lights, for it is located on the campus of the local college and run by exceptional students - and it is securing rave reviews for the quality of the food.

Here they put their skills on display, from selecting the finest local fruit and veg, choosing the best cuts of local meat to creating cocktails and culinary delights.

The menu changes every two weeks and the opening hours are limited, but this is chance to enjoy fine dining in a unique setting at a reasonable price.
