Dare Valley Country Park and Gravity Family Bike Park

Dare to take on the UK’s first purpose-built family bike park and an epic open space!

Dare Valley Country Park covers hundreds of acres, packed with walks, cycling trails, nature, outdoor play and loads of adventures.

It is home to Gravity Family Bike Park, which is the first purpose-built family circuit in the UK.

Bring your own bike or hire one of ours on site. Take the uplift service to the top of the mountain and then zoom down the trails.

Don’t forget to stop on the pump tracks on the way down to test out your moves and skills.

There is even a bright, colourful balance bike track for the little ones to try out, so everyone can get in on the action.

If you prefer walks to wheels, there are a range of walks – from gentle strolls amid nature to challenging treks to the top of the mountain – that run from the country park.

Some of these are wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

There’s a huge adventure playground with swings, slides, forts and more for older children, as well as a smaller toddler play area near the visitor centre.

Snack huts serving everything from indulgent hot chocolate to doggie ice cream are scattered through the main visitor and bike park area, with plenty of seating.

There are public toilets, including an accessible Changing Places facility.

Make a stay of it. Dare Valley has its own caravan site which welcomes caravans, camper vans and motorhomes (no tents sorry).

Each pitch has electric hook up and use of the newly renovated toilets, showers and laundry areas. Dare Valley Country Park is a Dark Sky Wales accredited site, meaning its crystal clear night skies are perfect for star-gazing and comet-spotting.
